Battlestar Galactica Review - Resistance
It took me some time to actually sit down and write something about “Resistance” - perhaps it’s because I’ve been resistent in doing so? Ok.. bad pun there but in all seriousness, I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to say about this episode. Why you might ask? Because quite frankly, it was a rather boring episode. Yes it did set up several story lines that are...

Six Feet Under - Static
It’s been an emotional time with the Fishers over the last few episodes ever since the death of Nate Fisher. This past Sunday’s episode was called “Static” and it builds on the emotional tidal wave caused by the death and how it has effected everyone in and around the family. You can read the entire synopsis of the episode over at HBO.com here. The Fisher family has been...

Weekend highlights
Boy this was an action packed weekend - it’s Monday and my body is still feeling the after effects of a long weekend of activities. Here’s a recap. Friday night - Yvonne and I go to Dodger Stadium to watch the Mets play the Dodgers.. (GO METS!) Victor Zambrano was pitching the game that night so I knew we had a potentially long game ahead of us and sure enough, it was! The Mets blew...

DVD review - Hostage
Yvonne and I watched Hostage last night - starring Bruce Willis, Kevin Pollak and various other nobody’s - and we found the movie to be … “eh…” What does that mean exactly? On a 5 point scale, I’d offer it a 2.5 at most. Basically the movie is about two different hostage situations. Bruce Willis’s family is held hostage by a group that wants him to end a...

Praying Mantis Eats Hummingbird
I never thought this was possible but apparently a Praying Mantis can actually catch and eat something as large as a hummingbird. Ok.. maybe hummingbirds aren’t exactly large but heck.. shouldn’t they be fairly quick? Anyhow, I don’t believe the pics are doctored up so … check them out! [Check it out]

The good old hidden ball trick still works!
It’s nice to see that old tricks still work sometimes in Baseball. Mike Lowell of the Florida Marlins pulled the old hidden ball trick and tagged out Arizona Diamondbacks’ Luis Terrero at third base in last night’s game. After reaching third base on a single by Tony Clark, Terrero stepped off the bag without realizing that Lowell had kept the ball in his glove all that time. The...

USC vs UCLA softball game results...
Oh before I forget, I just wanted to mention the USC vs. UCLA softball even that occurred this past saturday in Cerritos. I happened to have played briefly with the USC team and the USC team beat UCLA 8-6 (I think that was the score!) to take back the trophy (albeit a tiny trophy). I never thought I would say this but.. GO USC! I don’t have any pictures of this event unfortunately but it...

Build your own Windows Media Center PC
I just wanted to mention that I posted up a new article on Krunker.com about how to build your very own Windows Media Center Edition 2005 PC. I created one using a Pentium M based motherboard and an Ahanix case. The machine actually has been up and running since the end of February but I didn’t get a chance to finish the article until now. Quite honestly, I love the MCE box - it’s...

And the winner of the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction...
Dan McKay - a computer analyst at Microsoft’s Great Plains site in Fargo, North Dakota. What did he win exactly? Well he won the annual contest that celebrates the worst writing in the English language - and that my friends is no small feat. You can read more about it on CNN’s site here. Of course, my curiousity extended beyond this article and so I found the actual website for the...

Battlestar Galactica Review - Fragged
This review is a bit late since things at work have been pretty busy but here goes nothing. First, the normal recap of the show. Doc. Cottle works against the clock to save Commander Adama’s life. Yes.. Adama’s life is still in jeopardy folks. BSG is going to milk this baby for all it’s worth. Meanwhile, Col. Tigh’s burdens get heavier as he has to deal with the political...

Six Feet Under - Ecotone - Yes it's true
SPOILER WARNING!!! If you’re a Six Feet Under fan and you have not seen the Ecotone episode from this past Sunday - then do not read the following… ok. Yes folks.. Nate dies at the end of the episode. I couldn’t believe it and yet, I knew it was going to happen. The path that Nate was taking this season meant that the only real way of resolving everything was to kill...
